Nighttime Surveillance on Railroad Banks of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai Intensified

Dozens of joint personnel conducted a sweep along the railway embankment on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Cipinang Besar Utara Urban Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta to prevent negative behavior from the community.

Head of the Jatinegara District Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Teguh Nurdin Amali, said that this monitoring and control of public order was carried out following complaints from residents regarding immoral acts at the location.

"We carried out surveillance and sweeping last night until early morning to ensure that a similar incident does not happen again," he said, Friday (5/8).

He added that PT KAI will immediately close the gap in the fence so that it is no longer used as an entry and exit route to the railway track area.

He ensured that joint supervision with relevant stakeholders would continue to be carried out to ensure security, peace, and public order could be maintained.

"We also proposed to the East Jakarta Public Works Sub-agency to increase lighting at the location. I also ask the public to refrain from any actions that violate regulations or laws," he appealed.
